polylines and snaps

Anyone have any suggestions why polylines are so hard to join in 2005 ? examples: -try to join a polyline to a polyline using the grips and snaps, the snaps don't snap top the end of the polyline that you are tring to snap to. (zoom in real close and see the two ends) -try to join a polyline that is...

curves

Yes the grips do work as you described for a limited number of moves(aprox. 5) I figured out why you can move them and I can't. You only did a few grip moves, after you move a curve or circle about 5 times the grips stop responding Yes I can make it reoccur in other drawings With the curve grips I c...

thats what I thought

Thanks glen The grips don't work like that on my computer the center grip moves the whole arc, the mid point grip moves the whole arc, the end point grips moves the ends but the whole arc moves. I'm not really sure why they do that but it makes it really hard to get the curves to line up with the po...

with this is it normal that the grips on the arc just move the arc.
I'm trying to edit some arcs and the grips do not allow you to change the arc, just move it based on the center point

I'm not sure that it works with the labeling routines in MS2005, but it does work in editing the text, it is alot easyer than trying to make text that looks right . I will have to try it with the labeling routines.

you can also use the Alt+0178 to get the ². The Alt codes can be found in the charater map for most texts, or try the hit and miss method most text styles have simmilar codes.

Text

I have found the same problem with mtext on drawings converted from 2004. My solution is to copy the text a bunch of times and shut down 2005 and restart it. Use the copied text for the mtext. The text seems to work after that

My 2 cents

I support the paying for support yes charge them if the information is readily available. But if it is a software issue (crashing, mtext that doesn’t work). The developer should wave the fee so that they could improve the product or find a solution which we all can use.

Is there a way to rotate the drawing in the viewport in paper view so that north is not pointing to the top of the page.
I have tried the surveyer view, the drawing is rotated in the drawing area but returns to the world view in the paper are.
