Flx Files

Reading the posts leads to believe that current licence holders have a vaild concern when trying to access that old .flx file when needed. From my experience this is something that is needed at the last minute and the information is needed in urgently. I do not believe that buying a third party soft...

DRAW ORDER MODEL/PAPERSPACE.

WHEN IN MODEL SPACE AND AN OBJECT IS SET THE BACK OF THE DRAWING. IT LOOKS AND PRINTS FINE.

WHEN YOU SWITCH TO PAPER SPACE THE OBJECT IS IN FRONT OF THE THE OTHER OBJECTS.

IT WORKS FINE IF I OPEN AND PRINT THE DRAWING IN ACAD2005, BUT NOT IN MSCAD2005

Saving to ACAD - Pen Table assignment

When saving a drawing to ACAD, something happens to the pen assignment. In ACAD you are unbale to assign the pen table to the drawing. Only way to cure problem, is to insert drawing as a block into a blank opne drawing.

TDS upload

Its been awhile since I used the Hp48, however we use a leica instrument with TDS on board, If I remember corrrectly, the coordinate file .CR5, is not an ASCII file but binary. We use a routine supplied from Lieca to convert from ASCII to CR5 and back to loaded on instrument.

Data Transfer Speed

We usually do topographic surveys that range from 5000 to 30000 points. Data is gathered with Leica GPS and total stations. I have found that since switching to MSCAD2004 that the process for reading and layering the points is considerablly slower ( to a point of frustration) as compared to MSCAD200...
