Re: DECIMAL SECONDS IN ANGLES & BEARINGS

Try going to Settings>Drawing Settings, then in the 'Drawing Units' tab change the precision to whatever you want. Inverse and it will show in decimals of a second. I find this only works when I have the 'Unit Type' set as 'Degrees/Min/Sec'. There seems to be a glitch where if I have it set to 'Deci...

Toolbars - Disappearing Gaps

I like to have spaces inbetween my individual toolbars. I find it helps me quickly find what I'm looking for. The problem is that about once a week those spaces disappear and all my toolbars get mashed together. I then have to slide each toolbar over to regain those spaces, save the drawing, then ev...

Print Preview Switcheroo

Using MSCAD 2014: I usually have 2-4 separate MSCAD program windows open at a time. I access them from the Windows taskbar. I find it easy to switch between drawings this way. So, if I'm ready to print Drawing#1 from paperspace I will hit "Select Print Area" and sometimes I will instantly get switch...

Managing Layers

(Using MS2014) I typically have my drawings set up with a few organized layout tabs and then within those tabs a bunch of different viewports for specific aspects of the drawing. My problem is that if I create a new layer in one of those viewports and then draw a line, that line will show up in ever...

Re: Project workflow

I guess I've come to the realization that there is no easy way to link databases between drawings in MicroSurvey, so how about I turn this thread around and ask a simple questions: Assuming that you have multiple survey jobs (topo, construction, subdivision, etc) within the same MS drawing, how do y...

Re: Lock a polyline viewport

Thanks! This worked perfectly. I was double-clicking on my viewport to bring up its properties. This doesn't bring up the 'All(2) option. But after playing around with it I noticed that if the properties window is already open and then I click on the viewport it DOES bring up the 'All(2) option. Wei...

Lock a polyline viewport

I like using a closed polyline with lots of vertices for my viewport window, however, I haven't been able to create it properly using the "layout viewport" icon. I click "layout viewport". I choose "P" for polyline. I create the polyline then type "C" for close. Then it disappears on me. So instead ...

Project workflow

I have a question about project management and sharing points between drawings. I have been using LDD for years and have recently come over to MicroSurvey(2014). In LDD, a project directory is created for each job, then each new drawing within that job is saved within that project. So, you end up wi...
