we haven't had any probelms with it locking up when trying to open jobs up...Might be a bad CF card issue....as cheap as they are, try picking up a new card and seeing if that is the problem....

if your not using a SD or CF card....make sure you back up your work on a PC...If the Ipaq loses power...you might lose your data...Atleast my Ipaq does. I have never used a SD card....but my CF card had the same probelm after about 6 months of field use...I found it to be not quit fitting as snug a...

we used a Set3c which sounds little more basic gun that the Set 4A..The only times we ever had problems was about 5-6 months into the life of instrument cables....THEY DO GO BAD in about 5-8 months of constant use... Thats the only way. Its still alittle cumbersome.....but I think the new version that is HOPEFULLY coming out here soon is going to contain some new rotation features. Jason P. would know more about that.

Basically the only thing that isn't saving is the Direction display which keeps kicking back to North AZ when I set it to Bearings. The Direction imput seems to be staying at Bearings

Thats where I would like to end up at...but the software skips the "Turn instrument to" screen and jumps right to the robotic tracking/measure stakeout .......what are the setting for to option out of the full robotic and go to Auto turn instruemnt

Finally got our new Allegro CX Today with FG and am trying to using a Leica 1103 TCRA for non robotic work which seems to be working fine except when we do stakout....I want it to give me a stake out angle and distance and instead it giving me the robotic tracking/measure function....Its set on TPS ...

Allegro Vs. Tracker

kinda beginning to look at the Allegro as opposed to a Tracker for use with a Leica 1103....basically since the allegro eliminates the extra cables and having to fiddle with those evertime. I am assuming the Allegro you all sell on here includes the radio modem. Correct? Is there any major advantage...

ok..yours had a seperate radio for the Prism pole. Leica does make a all-in-one unit with a built in screen and keypad with the radio built into the unit.....I'm just wondering in that unit has a output for external use of a DC....have to look into that
