Hello, MicroSurvey is currently modifying the source code that we build both MicroSurvey CAD and InCAD so it can be translated into other languages. Once this is complete we are going to make the changes necessary to build a version that can be compiled in the completely re-engineered IntelliCAD 7.0...

We have other projects on our plate right now, so we cannot give any date for a future inCAD release. An offer was made to all inCAD customers to cross grade their inCAD seats to MicroSurvey CAD 2008. For example if you had inCAD 2006 Premium you can upgrade to MicroSurvey CAD 2008 for same price as...

The last thing that you can say is that we abandoned our inCAD customers. We have offered all inCAD customers the option of upgrading their inCAD version to MicroSurvey CAD 2008. Since MicroSurvey CAD can now read and write AutoCAD 2008 drawings, you can use your AutoCAD 2008 and MicroSurvey CAD 200...

It will take all of us some time to adapt to the flexibility offered by the USB Security Key. For example, we have customers who regularily call up asking for passwords for programs they upgraded. They no longer own the older version because it was upgraded. We have no idea where they are putting it...

No, I understand exactly what you wrote.

It is unnecessary to purchase another full copy and keep the old one "in reserve" in case you need to open an old file.

This is getting kind of abstract

If your friend has some 2005 files that need to be processed, open them in 2008 and process them. There is no need to keep a 2005 version for this reason. The only file that needs converting is an older flx file into a dwg version. This is a simple conversion of the drawing entities into a different...

Hello, Just to clarify and hopefully put everyone's mind at rest... MicroSurvey will always convert files for any customer who has a drawing in an older (flx) version and does not have the ability to update it to a newer version. If we have to maintain a copy of the latest PowerCAD version to do thi...

Hi Art, We post a list of known issues on the helpdesk. We never did this before, as it requires constant maintenance. We have more people in our support department, because people are paying for support and maintenance. Funny how it works that way. Here's a link to the list: http://www.microsurvey....

Hi Art, MicroSurvey implemented a ticket entry system so items like this would get processed as quickly and efficiently as possible. A forum like this is not as efficient as a ticket system, because: a) the first available tech support rep won't necessarily get the report, b) there is no automatic n...

Hi Richard,

If you unplug the key, the only command that will work is Save. You can't share a key in one office.

The problem with your scenario is if you have multiple users sharing one key: "Hey Joe, toss me the USB key so I can save my work." He plugs it back in, and saves his work. He then passes it to the next guy to save his work. Multiple people can be running the software at the same time while purchasi...

Dear Mr. Lemons,

We have not officially set a date for the introductory prices to end, but you will receive plenty of notice.

By the way, the T comes before the L in my name.

Dear Mr. Lemons, The size and shape of the USB key has been accurately described to you. I can easily insert it into the side of my laptop and it will fit without any issues into my laptop bag. Your laptop and bag are unknown to me. I don't need to attach the key chain to it. Since I have been carry...

Hello Mr. Lemons, Believe it or not, we invested a lot of time into trying to figure out what would benefit our customers the most. The system we were using was not doing the job. It was forcing too much from our customers with each transfer, move, update, or system crash. With a USB key the softwar...

Yes, it should run fine. You can confirm that easily by downloading the Mobile 5.0 version of FieldGenius and running the install on your new unit.

You will probably be pleasantly surprised at the quality of the screen layout.

Hi there,

You are into the "black magic" of Windows Networking. The display of the network computers is determined by the master browser on the network. Once the master browser picks up the Xtreme, it will appear on the list of computers.

If you can find a reproducible case, I'm sure I can fix it. I get to program for a couple of months (normally can't fit that in any more) so I look forward to fixing this one.

Hi Richard,

I have seen this behaviour before where it was caused by an attribute in the drawing file. I am pretty sure there is something in that DXF file that is causing the problem with the zooming in FG. If you can, send me the DXF file as I would like to take a look at it.

This sounds like the defaults file may be messed up. I would check the defaults for the missing text items and see if the numbers for Leroy size, etc. make sense. If they are zeros, then you will need to reset to factory defaults, or copy the incad.cfg file from a different job.

We don't tell Glen everything. The largest feature that will be included in the next version of MSCAD is being written as we speak.
