prism constants during rounds of angles

Post by Teresa » Tue Feb 22, 2005 3:39 pm

We are using Leica 1103 with a 360 prism for our foresights and an ordinary prism for our backsights. This means we have two different prism constants: one for the foresights and one for the backsights. Field Genius theoretically deals with this by allowing the user to enter different FS and BS prism constants.

We have noticed that when we do a round of readings such as BS FL, FS FL, flip and FS FR, BS FR that the second backsight reading uses the foresight prism constant.

This is a pain in the neck when one goes to adjust traverses: for example during my LSAs, I have to manually pick through and exclude all the second backsight distances or else manually change their distances.

I thought that perhaps this was a problem unique to FG2004, but have noticed today that it happens with FG2005 as well.

Hi Teresa,

Looks like you found a bug with the way the multisets are handling your reverse shot on the backsight. We've identified the bug and will make sure this is fixed in the next version.

Thank you for reporting it.
