FG Recon - Stakeout issue with offset

Post by K Smith » Wed Feb 23, 2005 11:59 am

We have found that the option to use the offset command in creating an offset point from the original stakeout point works fine BUT if you go to offset another point the values from the previous offset have been retained. This means we have to go and erase the azimuth and distance manually and then put in the new offset data. If you exit the stakeout routine altogether and come back in those values are still there - i.e. we would expect they would be reset to zero.

This has caused a few headaches for us and apparently this was not a problem in an earlier version of FG. Maybe it is only an issue for the Recon?

Hi Kevin,

This was changed so that if you needed to stake multiple points with the same offset, you wouldn't have to enter the offset each time. However, I see that when I exit the stake point screen, the values are not being "flushed" and set to zero. We will update this so as soon as you finish using the stake point command, those values will default back to zero.
