Allegro Vs. Tracker

Post by CHRIS L » Tue Mar 08, 2005 9:17 am

kinda beginning to look at the Allegro as opposed to a Tracker for use with a Leica 1103....basically since the allegro eliminates the extra cables and having to fiddle with those evertime. I am assuming the Allegro you all sell on here includes the radio modem. Correct?
Is there any major advantages having working with both the Allegro and the TRacker you can see worth sticking with the Tracker and external radio to run a Leica 1103 over using a Allegro....since by the time you get done purchasing the tracker, radio, and batts and cables..the price isn't that far off from a Allegro
Any Pros and cons?

I am figuring the Allegro would work the same as a tracker does with a Leica 530 Gps unit?
Thanks alot!!!

Hi Chris,

Since you already own Leica equipment, it sounds like the best solution for your situation would be to buy the Allegro with the built in radio. The only con that people have with buying an Allegro is the price. Since you have to buy radios and batteries anyways, the cost difference will be negligible.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
