Eraseing points with cad erase command

Post by Ron Mak » Tue May 30, 2006 5:23 am

When eraseing points with a cad delete and point protect on, a box pops up for each point where the user can confirm to delete a point or not. In MSCad 2002, the points would cycle through in sequential order. Now in MSCad 2005 the order seems random. Is it possible to control this?

I realize that we can use the active coordinate editor to pre-select the points to delete, but that is an extra step.

The CAD delete/erase process is based upon the order that the points are found in the drawing selection. So the point protection will come up as the point is processed via the CAD delete/erase routine, as the points were selected.

There is no way to change this order, other than picking them in the desired order (which is obviously not easy or preferred).

As you mentioned the ACE may be another way to handle this process.
