proposed road profiles

Post by steve » Fri Jun 12, 2009 8:07 am

is there a way to draw/plot/design proposed road profiles with vertical curves without creating any surfaces? our client bought a project & the plans for an approved development. we need to make minor changes to the road profiles. existing cadd drawings are not available. the township review engineer wants new road profiles plans. we need to create about 25 profiles. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

In MicroSurvey CAD you can enter in horizontal alignments without a surface but in order for a vertical alignment to be entered, the program must have a surface to sample to generate the existing profile upon which a new design vertical profile can be entered. I am sorry, there is no other way in this program. Maybe you could enter in a temporary bogus surface to accomplish your task?
