DTEXT, manual block insertion and Surveyor's View

Post by T.M. Moretz » Mon Jul 14, 2003 5:07 am

Is there a setting that will cause the DTEXT command to retain the angle of the last text applyed? After twisting the view of the drawing using the Surveyor's View command, each time I add text the default angle is due East which will not be horizontal to my view and I must either type the needed angle or drag my cursor across the screen to get the proper angle. This also holds true when manually inserting a block. It sure would be easier if the routines kept the last angle used.

insertion of text and symbols and default insertion angle

Unfortunatly the routines do not have that ability built into them. This is a CAD engine item so we can not solve this internally ourselves, but we will ensure the idea gets sent on to the programmers for the CAD product.

The Tip of the Month in our Newsletter from April may help a bit, to solve the situation after the symbols or text have been placed at the insertion angle.
