Creating Contours in Microsurvey

Post by flangy » Wed Jul 13, 2011 1:46 am

I've downloaded Microsurvey CAD 2010 recently. I completed a survey on site using a Leica TCR 805 Total Station. I've downloaded the dxf file to my hard drive. I'm having a little difficulty in where I go from here. If I upload the dxf file to Microsurvey can I then create the contours using the coordinates and heights that are assigned to each point that I surveyed?

Thanks in advance.

watch the modeling movies to see how to generate contours

It's very easy once you get the hang of it

If you didn't install the movies, you can get them online

Hi, another good training resource to go along with the movies is the Getting Started Guide, it contains several tutorials including a couple that involve surface modeling and contouring. You can access it from your Start menu, under Start | Programs | MicroSurvey | MicroSurvey CAD 2010 | Getting Started.
