I have a topo of a ditch that I want a volume on. I make a breakline for the top and for the bottom. I then contour and make a tin of the surfaces. They both look great and should produce a volume. The problem being is that I want a volume of the ditch at a certain elevation. Eg. I get a number at 600.61. When I run 600.93, I get a smaller volume. I've done this numerous times and can't understand it. I've even created surfaces of just the elevation with dumby points. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you

It is very difficult to give meaningful advice without seeing the specific job you are working on.

Would you mind emailing it to me (FLX, MSD and QSB files), to support@microsurvey.com.

Any additional information, such as what portion of the drawing you are dealing with being outlined, the method of volume calculation (Area or Surface Volumes), etc. would be helpful.
