Layout to Model Space

Post by GregL » Thu Apr 29, 2004 2:36 pm

Recently I have been receiving a message "Alert - Error Creating preview" when I switch between Layout and Model space. It's really bothersome because you have to regen, zoom extents, and basically fiddle until you have the screen image when you left either model or paperspace. Anybody have any clue why it's doing this?

Thanks in advance

I have seen it in SP4, but not in Service Pack 5 .

Have you instilled the latest update.

Service Pack 5 was just updated .

This error message really is no problem, but who wants to read it.

It happens to me quite regualrly, too. The message pops up, but if you hit REGN (F4) the appropriate image loads anyway. BTW, I've got the latest Service Pack installed on my machine.

DARCY! Are you getting this? Do you want copies of the drawing files that do this? I can't make it ahppen in the same drawing everytime - it's intermitant at best, but completely annoying!

This goes for any issue that is being reported. If you are running the latest and greatest Service Patch, and you can reproduce the issue on demand in a particular drawing, then please email it to me along with any instructions to show how to reproduce it. Then I will test it here and see if I can reproduce it - if I can then it goes to the programmers to find the issue and fix it. It is then included in the next service patch. is the email address to send them to.
