Is there a way to reprogram the 'Pan' command from the 'Alt' key to the Spacebar? I have other programs that use the Spacebar for this and it causes me some annoying hang-ups.
Especially when I use MSCAD and Adobe Illustrator interactively.

I Don't think you can change the Alt Key, but you could use one
of the HOT KEYS

F11 is available. Just add 'DPAN to the command area

Now you don't have to hold down any KEY to pan.

There are many other KEY combination you can choose from.

The space bar is not one of them.

Thanks Richard
I was really after a way to change the way MSCAD worked - eidt the .ini file or something to make it work on my PC the same as my other programs. Hit the Spacebar and MSCAD repeats the last command and that often causes me headaches as it reinvents something that I don't know about and makes changes that I just dont want. Thats the reason I want to change the world (here anayway). Uniformity is usefull sometimes.

Sorry - some functions are hard coded in the CAD engine. There are a lot of customization options but what you are asking for is not one of them.
