Perpendicular Offsets for curves?

Post by Jack Van Beek » Wed Dec 22, 2004 7:33 am

Is it possible to do Perp Offset to a curve? The perp_ties comand works great for 2 points on a line, but I would also like to do this on a curve. Sometimes the tie to a curve is incorrect using ms_house_tie. I have used this type of comand in other cogo packages.

Under the MODIFY pulldown menu select MORE then DIST\ANGLE.
You can now pick the point you want the dimension to, then use SNAP PERPENDICULAR and pick the arc.

I don't think you will get the desired answer if the point and the arc are at different elevations though.
