2Dpoly and 3Dpoly

Post by Stephen_P » Thu May 19, 2005 1:01 pm

what's difference between them? some people told me poly2d drawn on
the flat, same elevation. but I try connect 3 points with different elevation
with 2dpolyline and it seems no different.

A 2D Polyline is just that - 2D but it can be at an elevation. So if you draw a 2D Polyline and snap to a point or line that has an elevation - the entire polyline will then be drawn at that same elevation, no matter what points you pick on screen after the first pick.

A 3D polyline will change elevation from point to point, as you pick them, if the pick locations are 3D. So it will be sloped lines between each pick point.
