I want to export an ASCII lat/long file but seem to being doing somtething wrong. The cogo database is in N/E. The routine goes through but gives me a warning that the cogo file is not in lat/long format. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Lat/Long Export

Post by Glen Cameron » Fri Aug 05, 2005 7:21 pm

The export to a Lat/Long file format requires that the correct Datum be selected to match the Northing and Easting of the points involved.

In other words - the N and E of the points must be converted to Lat/Long using the correct Coordinate Transformation Datum (slected ont he same dialog that allows you to pick the export format of the point data).

Are you sure you are selecting the correct datum and that the points have the correct N and E range for this datum?
