Any hope for inCAD 2010?

Post by phaas » Mon Aug 17, 2009 11:42 am

Hi all, just wanted to revive this topic with a more appropriate title. Is anyone else out there still holding on to hope that one day Microsurvey will release a new version of inCAD that is compatible with AutoCAD beyond 2006? 2008? 2010?

We find that inCAD is the best of both worlds because you are working directly in AutoCAD with all the survey/cogo functions of Microsurvey available as well.

From some of the other post in reply to "Any hope for inCAD 2008?" it sounded like a release was immenent but then never happened. Can someone from Microsurvey please provide an answer to the question "Will inCAD ever be updated or should we start looking for a new solution?"

Although we are unprepared to give a definitive release date, inCAD is now running on AutoCAD 2010. We are going to limit the number of AutoCAD versions we support, because it is too labour intensive to have 5 or 10 different AutoCAD versions.

However, our goal will be to help AutoCAD customers who are on maintenance with the current version. If you fall off maintenance with AutoCAD the cost to return is so high we recommend MicroSurvey CAD anyway. It is much more cost effective.
