Our forum is back.
Early this week we had a catastrophic problem appear on a Linux web server. The machine would max out at 100% of the cpu whenever it was booted. It was so bad that diagnostic routines would not even work on it. Our web hosting service (RackForce) recommended that the best solution would be to build a new server for us.
We switched the nameservers to our backup site, but it takes a few hours to propagate the new ip address across the internet. Since we did not want to lose any posts to our site, I pulled down the forum until we could restore the database onto our backup site.
With the World of Concrete show drawing away some of our senior staff it has taken a couple of days to get this back on line.
We are investigating other options for hosting our sites, because we not satisfied with the current providers. This customer forum is very important to us as we want to make it as easy as possible for our customers to share their experiences with MicroSurvey. We all benefit from that interchange.
