isometric piping drawing

Post by Survey Chad » Tue Dec 30, 2008 6:05 pm

I would like to be able to draw isometric piping drawings trhat I can get 3D data from.
I am a new user and have done an iso with MSCAD yet.
I want to be able to do things like: start at a pipe support, go a distance put in an oddball bend like 64 degrees, roll that bend up 10 degrees, go a distance and then be able to get a 3D distance back to the pipe support I started from.
Will MSCAD do that?
If not, is there an add-on program that would?
I am about to go on a remote job where internet access may not be available. Just wanted to find out before I go.
Thanks for any replies.

If you go to your Windows Start Menu | Programs | MicroSurvey | MicroSurvey CAD 2009, you will find a document titles "Using IntelliCAD". In this manual review the following sections:

Using three-dimensional coordinates
Drawing in three dimensions

Each topic has some example that you can use to practice with. This should get you started.
